The “Tails of Taneytown” Pet Parade and Contests began as a revitalization event to draw people to downtown Taneytown. This year, organizers had 21 pets participate most were dogs but they did have one.

Although the event had no official sponsor, Thompson said they hoped to secure some for next year. Her hope is to be able to give a ribbon to every pet that participates in the Parade, as well as the ribbons for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places. Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor for next year’s event can contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
