This is a commission-based sales position. Realistic range for total income package is $45,000-$80,000 potential. Main office is in Washington, DC. Position can effectively telecommute from a location within Maryland.

This position offers a flexible time commitment. This would be an ideal addition to any independent sales rep that is representing compatible publications.

The qualified candidate will sell to and grow a list of existing clients on Maryland.com, OceanCity.com and Annapolis.com. Maryland.com is an established media company. Our web sites are the dominant destination for consumers with over 250,000 unique users per month. Our sites offer users an unmatched combination of content and features that attracts a large and growing community of regular members. We offer advertisers the most effective method to reach Maryland resident and visitors to Maryland through the Internet.

Developing new business is a key priority and responsibility. This position requires several years of "street sales" experience and proof of strong closing habits. Selling similar media is a big plus, but we will consider a track record of overall sales successes.

• Must have formal sales training, high ethics, integrity, and a high degree of professionalism.
• The position requires effective cold calling, prospect qualification, strategic sales process planning, negotiation, and closing of revenue opportunities.
• You must have your own transportation and a cellular phone, both in good working order. A car and phone allowance is offered.

Data Entry

We are looking for part-time data entry help updating and adding to our Business Directory database.

Pay is $8 per hour, or per project.

Qualifications: Good typist, familiar with the web and finding information online, ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment, highly reliable, responsible, motived and with high ethical standards.

Schedule: Work hours and duration of job is flexible. Minimum 6 hour per week commitment.

Other: For someone with html skills and an interest in web publishing, this position could grow into a position with web publishing responsibilities.

Location: 14th & U St. NW. 1 blocks west of the U St. metro.
