I am curious as to whether most people prefer locally owned hotels/apts. or the larger corporate-owned chain hotels. In the 20 or so times I have come to O.C. I have always used a locally owned place to stay.

I have also never stayed uptown in the large high rises. I have a friend that swears that uptown is the way to go.

I rarely make it above 13th street without a car. I think I am a sucker for the Boardwalk and the yesteryear charm that it has to offer.

One month to go for me!!
